Rally classes

What is Rally?

Think of an AKC Rally event as a team sport for you and your dog. Together, you’ll navigate a course of 10–20 numbered signs, with each sign providing instructions for the next skill to perform.

You and your dog move continuously through the course, with your dog working at your left side and responding to your cues. The course may include a variety of obedience skills, turns, changes of pace, and other exercises designed to test your communication and teamwork.

Although each run is timed, speed is not the goal. Rally is all about working together, maintaining control, and having fun as a team while successfully completing the skills along the course.

Rally is a great way to build your dog’s obedience skills while strengthening the communication and partnership between you and your dog.

We now have TWO CLASSES of Rally on Thursdays!

Beginner/Novice Rally - starting on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

This class is for teams that are brand new to Rally. The class meets on Thursday nights from 5:15-6:15pm.

Beyond Beginner Rally - starting on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

This class is for teams that have already completed the Rally Beginner/Novice class and/or can successfully execute ALL of the AKC Novice levels signs. The class meets on Thursday nights from 6:45-7:45pm.
