Members will adhere to the rules of the American Kennel Club and this Club.
Members will comply with the American Kennel Club rules concerning record keeping, registration, and identification, and the sale and transfer of dogs.
Members must always realize they are not only ambassadors for the Club, but also for the sport of purebred dogs.
Members are expected to perform in a sportsmanlike manner at all times and promote good will among members.
Members will always give free, factual and courteous advice to novices.
Members will not maliciously slander or libel other members nor seek to impair their reputations. However, they must report any serious situation detrimental to the club, the sport, or any dog.
Members will ensure that their dogs are kept safe and under control at al times. Dogs must be maintained with their safety and good health in mind, including adequate and appropriate attention and socialization, grooming, feeding, veterinary attention, housing, routine care, exercising and training.
No member of this Club shall engage in wholesaling or purchasing with the intent f resale of puppies and/or dogs to such places as pet dealers, catalog houses, or other commercial sources of distribution.
Any member considering the purchase or sale of a puppy should realize they are entering into a long term commitment.
Before breeding a litter of puppies, the breeder must realize they are responsible for all puppies he produces for the entire lives. If the owner cannot or will not take care of the animal any longer or abandons it, the breeder must take every effort to secure a new home for it.
